Re: New rough recording
Wow! Its so good musically I almost don't want to get into technical songwriting stuff or sonic BUT. Let me just touch on two aspects. But first let me say that the emotion is what has been captured here no matter what I say. Anyway the beginning of the song I don't want to hear the vocal thing, the group,or the "gang"..whatever it is, It doesn't convey anything musically, in my oppinion, and once the lead vox are in, is in, one realizes they just wanted to hear that from the start. So I say out with that vocal altogether- the group one. Now I have an issue with the overall sound. It grates on my ears ( the songwrioting and singing is GREAT on my ears, but all the compression or how the song is being processed GRATES on my ears. However, I have hypersensitive hearing in one ear and I'm not wearing any protection right now..so...still, my right ear is hurting too. The sound should be so balanced that one should be able to turn it WAY up, get that fullness but have it not hurt your ears. that's all I have to say, its one of the better songs I've heard here in the forum and I've heard a lot now. I have pretty good ears, although I'm mostly a performer/writer, Anyway keep it going - it should be pretty easy for you guys to break in, with a little perserverance.
