One of a dozen songs a friend wrote and sang for his debut album. He didn't get into music or writing until his late 50s and every song tells a storey. A few of us got together and helped him record this. I'd appreciate and views on the recording/mix, arrangement or song.

I like it. Has a Roy Orbison sound to it. Catchy for sure!

So - go and listen to a few of Roy's songs and listen to how the bass drives the melody of his tunes. I think that is what's needed in this one.

Turn up the bass a bit to drive the melody and turn down the vocals just a tad.
