Exclamation Murderous style! (160BPM)

Here's another effort. A bit more up-tempo than the last one. Again the structure is a bit wierd and it's not completely finished but I spent too long on this one and had to shelve it when I got it to a certain point. There seems to be something missing. Or maybe it's too cluttered. Maybe I'll finish it sometime.
Anyway I'll let you do the judging; thanks in advance for listening...Lou

21 'views' and no response, ouch!!! It's enough to make a man paranoid! I'll make it easy for all you busy busy people, just give me a number from 1-10? I'm presuming that your downloading this tune and I don't mind giving it to you for free. It's nice that people are at least listening to my music but I really joined this forum to get some feedback, otherwise I'd have stuck with MYSPACE. Pleeeaaassseee, a little feedback. Thanks...Lou.

Its very laid back & doesn't seem to go anywhere. If chilled out is what you're aiming for, it does have that feel. The name implies to me that some mad beat is gonna kick in at some point. But it seems to just be a sample reference.
This is what I'd want to hear: The breakdown at around 2:40-3:00 to become a bit more aggressive as the name implies & the composition builds up into a different sound.
I can hear you've tried to mix the bass riff up a bit at the breakdown for a change but I would have gone a step further and fattened it up a bit or even introduced another melody that works with the first.
Just lacking some excitement for me.
As it stands I can imagine listening to this on a car stereo but not rewinding it for another listen.
Although I mainly listen to rock/metal I am partial to a bit of Jungle/Breakbeat now and again as long as they provide some form of excitement but the most chilled out stuff I listen to in the electronic/beats category of music is probably Future Sound Of London.
The mix sounds fine.

*Btw 21 'views' does not mean 21 'listens'.

Thank you so much. This is what I'm talking about; some feedback, a good honest opinion! Yes you're right, it does need to really kick in at some point. I find it easy to get an idea but harder to develop it and contrast it to keep it interesting enough. I haven't worked on this tune for a year or so, perhaps it's time to boot it up again and shake things up a little! Glad the mix sounds ok for you. My problem with these tunes is that I spend so much time editing and tweaking the mix that I can't listen to it objectively anymore and have to shelve it. Sincerely, thank you Hunter33 for taking the time to let me know your thoughts. I'll have a look for your tracks and repay the favour. Nice one...Lou.

It's hard to critique mixes that aren't your style, so that may explain all the listens and no reviews. That being said sometimes you get a more subjetive review this way

I'd like to hear more punch in this mix. The kick and bass slamming you in the chest. For me the song just seems like ambience and needs some singing or some kind of focus point, but that may not be what you're going for. The recording is very good, just needs a focal point I guess. I play rock music so it's hard for me to critique.

Thank you very much. Yes this tune seems to need some heavier drums and a corresponding bass line, maybe after the breakdown. For a tempo of 160 it could really kick ass and it's not doing that at all at the moment. As for the singing, yes maybe I'll have a look for someone.
Thanks again and let me know if you've uploaded any tunes; I'll give them a listen...Lou.

Oh man thats perfect floating over the beat. ha you've got this solid beat and things are coming all over the place not tearing up the beat but kinda adding a swishing back and forth feel. like theres some person tring to break the beat but keeps on getting pulled back and closer in a free way. But whoevers trying to break the beat can't!! and knows that he can't..... yah thats wasome how it does that. Normally it would bother me that you cant hear what the words are saying that much but it doesn't really do that here because it doesn't really matter what the words are as much.....ha hey man sorta like that song of mind you commented to. They kind of share that aspect. But yes I can deffenetlly see this at a club and even near the places were the beat is only down to the bass drum and there still danceing hard. well anyways good ....

Thanks Allen, I'm glad this tune did something for you. It gives me a buzz to think that just maybe, somewhere in the world, someone is listening to one of my tunes on their mp3 player. Now that I've had a long break from this tune, I'm going to work some more on it. I'll let you know when the remix is finished. Thanks again...Lou.

Kind of interesting, I found this by typing jungle in the search box. You might enjoy some of my tunes too then..
