I can hear alot of background noises. Get a quieter chair. There is really nothing to what you are doing. It just sounds like you are plugging microphones in and recording and then saving as MP3 and then posting. No editting or engineering at all. For what you have done it sounds pretty good but certainly not professional. I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish so you may have just what you want at this point?

I'm happy with it. Recording values will improve over time.

Keep in mind, its all improvised. Getting the perfomance on tape is the hard bit.

I sometime like a bit of 'authentintic' backround noise. I think those noises are foot tapping.

I have spoken to my chair though and he has agreed to be a little quieter in the future.

I agree with Metaldave, like setting a mic up in the wrong place at a accoustic performace in an empty Starbucks.

I think you should put a mic about 7 inches from the toe of the tapping foot. You might want to set up several mics in the room so you can pick up some more of those authentintic <word? Background noises and get them a little stronger in the mix. Seriously though... I think you should record the guitar first and then go back and track in the vocals. The way you have done it here is just not doing it for me... This is just my opinion.... Take it or leave it.
