Master bus compressor is working too hard on the first.

On the second, your guitar tone is pretty sweet, but it sounds like theres some phasing issue going on. Bring down the guitars, eq the kick and the snare and compress the shit out of them!!!! They're barely there. This is agggggggggggressive metal!

AGREEEEDDDDD!!! Ouch!

When you start to compress either your drum bus or your 2bus listen closely. The cymbals in the drums should never get "weird". They should always sound real, normal, and "pretty". If they get mangled, you overdid the compression/limiting somewhere.

I think your aggressive compression on the 2bus has killed your snare tone as well. There is no meat to them. All you can hear is the bottom. I'm sure that's from using too fast of a compressor or too much limiting on the 2bus (once again).

It's possible that you had your drums too loud when you placed the limiter on. Turn the 2bus stuff off and get a really solid mix. Then add your limiter, get your levels, and see where the drums are. Drums can get pretty hard with a limiter before they disappear so it's obvious that you really CRUSHED this thing.
