Default Misery Business cover

Well i liked this mix because i dunno it all just seemed to work for me... compared to my previous mixes anyway.

Ignore the screwup :P the metronome went funky when i clicked a button mid record and we were happy with it otherwise.

Constructive criticism on the recording would be much appreciated.

but yeah the mp3 is 192 kbps so it should sound pretty ok..

but yeah crank it and enjoy and heres hoping someone notices the gated delay that i thought i was very clever adding in :P

sounds pretty good, all and all. I would bring the guitar down a little and the drums up.. maybe a little more bass also.. Vocals sound good

I keep hearing stuff on here that sounds like it was tracked live - is it just me? This sounds like it was a rehearsal that got recorded, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. The tracks sound well played, the drummer is pretty tight and the vocals are nice. But the whole thing sounds thin. I like the riffs and the guitar tone - it just needs to be tracked a bit better.

theres 2 guitar takes, you can hear the other one boost up the chorus/start/solo/end its just there to sorta boost things up a bit

where's the "lead" guitar parts throughout the song besides the rhythm guitar, excluding the solo?

Ohhh yeah that more came down to it was just us going... hey lets record something, and well tuning a guitar with a floyd rose from drop d to drop c# is kinda impossible due to setup and time reasons and he was just following what i was doing on bass... usually... he shreds like hell, i think were covering one of my bands song (this isnt my actual band) which i'll post here when its done.

oh okay, I was just wondering. I like it it sounds good, I was just thinking to myself wait a minute, there's something missing.I think the drums should be brought up a tad more in the mix. to make the guitars sound more full, ar least double track both guitars. did you use a sm57? the guitars have more of a ... fizziness(?) to them
