Default Local Radio Station Jingle...

Well guyz...

Here is a little ditty I wrote to test out my Line6 TonePort. It ended up as a 40 second Jingle for a local Radio Station. A weeks wages for two hour work....SWEET!!!. Comments are always welcomed...

i think it's too bright. the hi-hats,snares and cymbals hurt my ears at times. i think it also has much compression on the whole track. although the compo and arrangement is good if not best..i like that aspect of it. congrats on the radio part!!!!

Hey Brianinogang...

Totally agree with everything you said dude... The above version is however, the Remixed final version I had to re-submitted to the Radio Station. The previous version was much Darker but didn't Translate well to Radio and I had to Remix, EQ & Compress it. Makes you wonder if Radio Station Producers actually know anything about Music at all!!. And yes, this version hurts my ears as well!!! Thanx for the comments - I thought it was just me that thought the MIX was wrong!!!! The version below was my original Submission...

The second mix sounds more lifeless, which is probably why radio liked it. I like the arrangement and the playing is tight. Nice job.

I like the original mix much better - the radio version is so squashed it's hard to listen to.

Hey Guyz...

Interesting to see your varied reactions and thought on the Mixes. To clear up any confusion though, the first one was the Final Version I sent to the Radio Station (Bright Mix), the second version was my Original submitted Mix (Dark Mix)

Yeah, I know... a Bass Player on a Guitar Forum!!! We Bassists like the Technology too you know (SARC hehe!!). Anyway Brian, yeah I did play the Bass and Guitars (the Drums were programmed in Reason4), but as you can probably tell, Guitar is probably my weakest instrument.... I just LOVE all the new sounds available, but my song ideas are Bass & Drum orientated - as opposed to most on this Forum that are driven by Guitars. But I figure, the more I play Guitar, the better I SHOULD get.... (theoretically!!!) Which is why I enjoy these Forums so much - I learn so much.... THANX Guyz....

PS - Brian, checked out your song on YouTube.... WOW!! How long did it take you to compose that??? Fantastic stuff....

that was a cover song. the original version was from "john Petrucci" of dream theater. he's my idol when it comes to shredding.

hey chip would you be intrested on an online collaboration? dont worry its just for fun. if you wanna hear musical background from me you could listen to my post. its called "STOMP!!!".its metal core but then again i also have funk-core compo's for pop/slappy bass licks which i know you'd love.hehe. we could work this out after a while or when you're done with your own stuff coz i still have some of my own to be finished. keep me posted or pm me if you like. whichever is best for you..thanks bro!!!

Hey Brian....

Always interested in a Collaboration mate... I'll check Stomp out and get back to you. I'm working on several Collabs at the moment, but I'm always on the lookout for more... If you've got any stuff you want so Bass put on, put them up on the Site and I'll give them a look....

PS - Thought I recognised the Dream Theater track, , but even so, anyone who can play Petrucci note for note is good enough for me!!!!
