Default "Lifer"

This is a mastered recording. A few more and my album is complete. So I wonder what people think. The song is about intense people; not exactly revered while alive, instant sensations when dead. I played piano and sang the song, my song. My producer, John Hegner did the orchestration. I may have him view the results of this... bashing. Well Thanks everyone.

Chaz, that sounds sensational - an epic! The message behind the song is interesting - similar (in some ways) to the message behind "In the Gallery" from the first Dire Straits album. I enjoyed it - very lush & expensive sounding.

Fabulous chorus - and so many excellent touches and musical hooks thru the song to keep the listener engaged.... And a very interesting lyric. Wonderful strings too. Great job Sir Charles...

Thanks man. My producer did all the orchestration but I will take credit for the song. I'm on a credit spree as a matter affect. I'll take credit for the orchestration. I'll steal ALL the credit...
I'm frazzled - end of a session and took a look at my email. thanks bro, nice to hear your ideas.

Smile Re: "Lifer"

It reminds me of one of those great early Genesis songs, but original . it has good writing, arragement, performance and also a harder edge that makes it stand out and win over the listener.
great writing, playing and production.

btw when were you knighted?

sir Charles?
