Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" Screamo Cover

My friend and I made this song as a joke (kinda). It's a metal cover of "Boyfriend". It's my first time experimenting with screaming vocals, so I'm not exactly sure how to process them. Drum samples are NI Studio Drummer. Let me know what you think!

Vox are pretty buried. Need more compression. The volume of everything else is pretty consistent, so the vox need to be pretty even in dynamics. Otherwise they get buried in parts or too loud in parts. Clean vox are usually a lot more effected in screamo. Tuned tightly and something a little "processed" about them. Can you post a mix with the vox more compressed and more care to keep them from being buried or too loud?

The vocals are actually quite compressed already so I just turned them up in the mix. I'm still not totally satisfied with it but here's the next one...

The stuff pre 0:30 doesn't seem any different, I still can't hear the vox well enough to understand many complete phrases. The word "arm" really pops out as louder then the surrounding words at 0:45. That's honestly the main issue that makes in sound not quite right.

As was said before, the vocals are clear enough before 0:30. I don't think it's the volume but the clarity of it. Try bring up high mids a bit like 2k maybe. check in this area. For the rest, I preferred the levels of the first mix (after the 0:30). Now it seems everything is in the background compared to the vox.

Clever (re)arrangement-- I recently arranged this for my school orchestra, so I am all too familiar with this opus.

Drums sound good to me. I've not heard/used the NI Studio Drummer (I have Superior Drummer 2, Steven Slate's stuff, Abbey Road 60s, and a few more)--great to be in an era with a plethora of great sounding drum libraries.

Not a scream-o aficionado, so I can't comment on exactly what you're going for sonically. Everything was clear, nothing leaped out at me. Enjoyed it!
