Here's a first mix of a local Southeast Missouri band that I'm producing called Elevenpoint.? This is one of over 50 songs that we have written.? This is actually like hardcore preproduction.? We'll be doing real drums in a big studio (probably Nashville). I haven't even listened to this mix on any of my other systems, so it may be all over the place.

I'm getting there. This song needs some work on both the production/songwriting end and the mixing end. It was actually a first draft. It should be a lot worse when I get the mix done!!

That was a throw it together in a few hours without listening on another system mix.
It has some major issues. Generally, I find that it takes me about 5 drafts for everything to fall in place. Then, and only then, does it sound decent. So much of that is levels.
This mix isn't terrible solely because the band could play and I took my time micing this up. These are not very good drums, but I did what I could.
