Default Getting Started With Bash This Recording

If you are looking for a way to upload your tunes, there are several options.

1) Your Own Website / Hosting. The best way is with your own website and hosting. I can extend a special deal of $40 per year on hosting for your site through my day job (We have several powerful servers) to forum members only. If you are interested, Private Message me.

2) Soundclick.com seams to be a popular method as well. It's not as flexible as your own hosting, but it seams to do an effective job of getting the quality of the song and the mix out there.

3) Attach the song to the thread. Give it a few moments to upload.

Let me know if there are any other options that you guys recommend. I sort of just threw this list together.

How To Attach A Song To A Thread
Go to Bash This Recording.

Create New Thread

Write Title and message. Scroll down to "Manage Attachments".

Click "Browse" and find the mp3 file on your computer. (Note: Sample rates other than 44.1Khz will have huge problems.)

Click "Upload".

Be Patient. When the song is fully uploaded, you will see a small message towards the upper half of the box that illustrates that the file has been successfully uploaded. Close out of that box and submit the new thread.

www.lightningmp3.com works very well. It's as easy as you can get with an e-mail address. Check that out.

box.net is a free host for mp3s. tons of free storage and very, very simple to use. they have a cool java upload tool so you can literally drag and drop files from your computer's folder into the online folder, as opposed to the typical Upload Files > Browse > Select One file > Open that you have to do over and over.

Default Guidelines For Recording Reviews

In other to properly Bash you song or mix we need to:

1) Focus on one song at a time. Asking for a review of an entire album is asking too much. It'll result in no one reviewing your tunes. I'd create one thread per song.

2) Make sure we have a high quality mp3. No myspace!!! Make sure it's something that sounds good. You can attach it to the thread or use are short Guide To Song Uploads http://forum.recordingreview.com/f11/song-uploads-734/

3) Everything else goes. Songs about anything and everything are acceptable. If a song is going to be offensive, just put "Offensive" in the title. This will probably increase interest anyway.

purevolume™ | We're Listening To You Has no one though about this one? It is alot less jumbled than other sites. Free, very simple, pro artists and home artists.

Exclamation Re: New members MUST read this!

New members take note to save Brandon from having to tell everyone the same thing repeatedly. Myspace links are not really acceptable as a means of assessing your work.

Why no myspace? Do they do some evil compression on the files or something?

Not quite sure exactly what it does, other than make them sound like sh*t.

Listen to a song on Myspace and then the same one on CD afterwards, then you'll see.
