alright -- here's another track up for bashing, another one of my fraternity brothers rapping over a track i produced. hip-hop/rock vibe, probably atypical of either.
any comments welcome -- this is a second stab @ the original mix (i originally had very little time on an SSL, and i wasn't happy with the rushed mix at all)...though this time around it was all done ITB, so i wish i had a few more tools at my disposal. nevertheless...BASH!!

I see you went for the super airy vocal. I think you overdid it a bit. While that air is awesome on "I don't wanna wait.....for my life to be over" Dawson's Creek pop music, I found it distracting in this mix.
On the chorus, the vocal singing I would have actually wanted this "air" on that vocal. This vocal on the bridge is burried. I don't like that either. I'd make this vocal more important. I don't think anything is gained by making this vocal so dull when compared to the rapper dude. I'll pull out a de-esser and use it control the 10k+ region just a bit on the lead vocal / rapper/ whatever. Out of curiosity, what mic did you use on the rap vocal? I think you've got a really cool song here and the mix is close to being excellent too. I like the chorus and I like the rap dude's voice. Good job. Brandon
