Default Demonic possestion in the works

This is some work i did last night, nothing has been done to the recording yet no mix no plugins. It is just the drums and first lead guitar with some synths. It has along ways togo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Thank you for your support, and the feedback. I have been playing with alot of mics, and setting trying to get a good raw track for a recording engineer to mix up for me.

Getting a killer drum sound and mix is tough but is crucial for your type of music.I use to use the sennheiser clip on evoloution 604s on my toms.they are cheap and sound awesome for the money.Great for live shows too!Have you checked ebay for mics, you can find killer deals on there.Or get a dm5 with triggers and trigger your snare and kik that will slap ya jap happy.Cheers!

I realy dont want to use triggers. That is why I have a Tama starclassic maple. Im using 3 mics on the kick ( pg58, dm90, mxl9000) the tom mics are dm70's. I know im not using the best mics, but when I bought them I just needed somthing to put the drums into the livePA. But I am thinking hard about upgraden' them. Again, Thank you. I love when people teach me for free, lol..

invest in a metronome. You will be amazed at the improvements of your skill in just weeks! Not an insult, just a suggestion. Their were some drastic time drops. A metronome will really tighten things up quickly

I have one, but the time drops are not a mistake. None of use are realy able to play most of our songs with a click track, or metronome. We use alot of off time sets and most are quite dromatic. After the rest of the guitar tracks, and vox are in, it might make better since to you. We actually tryed to record this with a click track, and after 2 hours we said hell no. But thank you for your input, I love any and all feedback I can get. Many HAILS..

I know what you mean about using a click to record, it's a pain if you have a lot of time changes. I was just referring in general, you can hear the BPM sway slow to fast back to slow in the same part. example verse1. 120BPM verse2. 90BPM with in those parts the time is not constant. I hope I'm making sense. so for verse1 120BPM you may start at 120BPM then go to 130BPM down to 100BPM. My band has huge time changes with in our songs the way we practice and play on tour is.. we put clicks on an Ipod so for song A. our parts are 120bpm to 70bpm to 90bpm back to 120 bpm. then when we are playing the song our drummer is right on and tight as a drum (pun intended) it may be a big pain in the ass but it's worth it in the long run, it makes a huge!!! difference in tightness of the band. If you listen to old recordings of the same songs you would hardly recognize them as our new songs. Just because we were all over the place with holding steady. Long winded I know, but thats why we did so well in my opinion.

mabe its just me, but when we tryed the click track it was more of a problem then help. I might have to just play with the setings on the click track in my sonar 7 program to get it right. I dont know, but I understand what you are sayen. Mabe I just need to practice more on my drums if my bpm are that off.

oh no, your not that off. I'm just nit picky. I've been using one for 12 years, so I can hear stuff like that. And I know when I was young, older musicians told me to use one while I was playing drums. I kinda shrugged them off. then I saw all these great bands we opend up for and thru talking to them I found that 90% of them used clicks or just played to a metronome for practice. So I went; got a metronome and just played beats to the click. I would turn out the lights and just use the red light as my time, I would close my eyes and play for a few bars then look to see how off or on I was. The improvement was awesome. Now I'm one of those guys...haha I can tell when our drummer is not using one. But I'm; like I said nit picky. haha
But you should give it a shot, whats the worse that could happen?
