Hey, cool song. The drums are programed, right? you could definitely use some better samples, or play them with a real set. The most fake sounding part is the hi hat. It sounds tinny, excessively bright, and generally fake. The easy fix might be adding some reverb to the whole kit. Also, I would play eighth notes with the hi hat in stead of the off beat. Other than that, everything sounds top notch.

Yep... the good old dr 770 drum machine! This thing is so cheesy it should come with a box of crackers when ya buy it.But I thought hey is a mellow country tune and most of the nashville sound is laid back drums I thought I could pull it off. I listend to kieth urban for a couple of days to prepare for this session. I am going to retrack this tune with my new pro tools rig and use my real drums on this next version.I will post some more of my rock/metal stuff soon.... stay tuned.....Rob

Nice tune.........especially for 1st try at country.....I can hear the fake instruments but it gets the message across..

On my song TELL ME WHY posted on this site I took my first stab at a country tune. as well......

I decided on real players....Check it out and see if that is something you want to do next with your tune....If you believe in it go for it...........

I enjoyed it

Thanks! I played everthing on that track Guitars, bass, mandolin,Triton synth, and the dr 770. I would love to have a group of fiddle, lap steel, slide players I could use on these types of projects. I guess I should put up a flyer at the local music stores. Thanks for the idea.Your song sounds great!keep it up! the Rockerdude

Sounds like a country song on the radio. Great job.

I think that generally speaking, country music tends to have a lot more instruments going on. I thought the song started sparse (in a good way), but should have kept building with fiddles, organs, or whatever else they use in country music.

Great job!

Brandon
