Default Come Together

Hi all

Just looking for some tips or pointers on my recordings. Check out my myspace page. Come Together is the latest track I've done. All recorded and mastered in Magix Music Studio 12 Deluxe. Guitars and vox are live, everything else is sequenced from various VSTi plugins.

Any constructive criticism would be great. I've been playing for years, but I'm relatively new to the recording/producing game!

Thanks
Pete

I like your arrangement. Sounds down-tuned (D) and adds a bit of Brown-sound and a bit like the Aerosmith cover combined.
The double-tracked leads in the second half of the solo was unexpected, but works well.
Lead vocals done true to the original, and backing vocals harmonize well.
Sounds like a professional production. Great job. You've raise the bar for me to do something that good.

I must agree with Johnny... nice arrangement, nicely produced!

I also use Magix Music Studio 12. I think its quite an unknown little gem! Let's me do just anything I need, and seldom complains! How do you get along with it?

BTW - I was diggin' "Walk On The Wild Side", when the tele rang, and I had to close the window... hope to get back to your site and listen to some more!

What he said. Sounds great, no suggestions from me.

Myspace is useless for audio engineering advice, but let's see what we've got here.

Your voice is very good. Some guys just sound good in front of a mic. You are one of them. Your pitch could be better, but it isn't too bad.

I'm not big on the song. It's not bad, but it doesn't make me want to sing along. That's a requirement for me.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Brandon, what's up with Myspace? Where's best to put stuff? I see a lot of people using Soundlick, but is it really any different?

Soundclick transfers the bitrate of your MP3s to 128kb unless you become a VIP member at $9.95/mo. Huge community but not very friendly. I personally like MySpace. Met a lot of good friends there but you are limited to only 6 songs.

I use Mixposure as my main domain for my music. Great atmosphere. The owner is very involved and doesn't allow any flaming whatsoever. Great place to put your music, do colabs and meet some dynamite folks.

Just a quick plug for ReverbNation, free unlimted song postings with widgets you can use on myspace, facebook etc. ReverbNation

PS - not sure what bitrate they render uploads too, but I believe it's better than myspace.
