Chaz: Musiclife 15- Finally using EQ

I just realized something that I had known but forgot- My speakers are 5" M-Audio BX5A's and they have no bass. So my mix was ****'d up. Majorly. Now i'm listening half with headphones,half with speakers, and I think there's more balance. AS I said in the title I finally started using more EQ. Its a compliment to me that people didn't really mention the eq. maybe they were listening more to the music- who knows, maybe this wont sound very different, but it was fun making the discoveries and feeling it balance out. this is not the 15th mix, this is only the fifteenth time I've moved it from my recorder to the computer. It must be the 30th mix and maybe I'm not done. Feels good though- I don't mind working at this.

When did Peter Gabriel join Supertramp??

Musically...All was good until the end. It kinda did a pop to jazz curve. The vocals when doubled distract the flow...Could be tighter. Intresting harmonies...Also can tighten up.

Mix...Drums are squashed/lifeless and snare too bright. Vocals are squashed also, not as bad as drums. Keys sound very nice. Bass can be beefier.

I like the song. Moves very well.
