Easy people.......Having a bit of a problem with this one.... Cant get the vocal to sit right.... it needs to be in your face but i think there is a frequency in there which gets really jarring / annoying when i play it thru large PA systems.....Maybe you think the vocal is really annoying any way. In fact this was one of those tracks which i thought was gonna be really good when the first ideas were born but dosent seem to fulfill its potential. Any advice or ideas would be welcome |

You could run the vocals through an equalizer(or noise gate or band pass stop filter), and cut out frequencies until you achieve desired sound. Or you could try adding a small amount of phaser to the vocal track (5-10%) adding a bit of chorus can also ironically sometimes clean up rough vocals. |

its those refrains -allthewaynaked... pitch that from the C it is, to D or get that vocalist bak to pitch it right. the vocal track is also a bit grainy... careful with eq.

I'm listening on computer headphones, so I can't comment on the PA question. The mix itself sounds good - does remind me of Chemical Bros. There are a couple of peaks with the synth/distorted guitar that are too loud - I'm not saying squash the crap out of it, I like the dynamics between the guitar and the synth starting at 3:30, but maybe hand automate the synth/guitar volume in the early parts of the song. Not sure what to do about the vocals issue - whatever the effect you are using (vocoder?) could be the culprit - it's easy to get some unpredictable volume results with those kind of resonant/oscillating filters over a dynamic sound source. Yeah, diggin the guitar solo at the end of the song - definitely gives it that Chem/Noel Gallagher sound (Setting Sun?). Good job.

I like it! I see what you mean about the vocal not sitting right. I think the effect is too radical. Maybe the effect is ok, just back it off. Also, guitars are a little dark for me. On the very end...I would leave the outgoing phrase "you're dirty and you're shaking" completely dry, without the looping effect. The chick sounds sexy...good job
