Drums are a little loud in my opinion.

I'd play around to have both kick and bass as present as possible...
then raise the guitars a tad bit.

Nice drum sounds - I especially like the toms - they sound huge. In fact, the drums sound so big, it's a bit of a dissappointment when the distorted guitars come in, as they seem to "shrink" the overall sound. I would suggest doing something with the panning of the guitars so they match the "hugeness" of the drums.

m doing this review with out looking at what others say, to keep it from being bias...so i might repeat others, as i try and do all my reviews
the drums are a tad loud
gutiar sounds squashed...too compressed...loosen up a tad, let the human element come into play alittle
the high rack tom and the floor tom feel too far apart.
back up vocals are almost not even there
i just had an egg shaker sitting next to me...and started playing it...might add that in with the high hats...i thought it sounded nice

maybe have a little kick lead-in on the intro i know im starting to take on some of the song writing now...so ill stop

other than that...i love the tones of the drums

The drums are the best part of this mix!

I would pan the snare center my friend, it's a little distracting in the right ear.

Tell us about guitar micing technique, what amp and guitar you used and I'll try my best to help you get that guitar tone up to par!

The cover has potential.

It's not that they sounded too compressed: by pluging straight into your interface, you're bypassing a speaker simulator, so you're only getting the "preamp" sound of whatever distortion pedal you chose. You could use whatever you recorded and run it into a cabinet simulator like voxengo boogex. I don't know much about it, but I'm sure someone can clue you in.
