ok i did a lot of fixes to it i realized that somewhere along the line i turned off GR3 so the guitars were just a DI tone. Brought the guitar levels down quite a bit, doubled them panned hard left/right, added compression on drums.
i'm leaving the last mix before this one up for comparison Last edited by schlongson81 : 07-12-2008 at 12:11 PM. Reason: guitar rig 3 on guitars, phase inverted bass, |

That's pretty catchy
Guitars are definitely way too loud on my studio monitors as well. Especially since they are the main drivers of the right side of the spectrum. Drums are almost inaudible, but lowering the guitars and bringing ug the overall mix will give them a little bit more insight...they'll still need to come up some though ![]() Cool tune mayne! --Aaron |

Copy the guitars to another track and pan one track full left and one full right, keep the bass center. You will have a more balanced mix that way. The tones aren't bad at all. You could get those drums moving if you worked on some compression.
