Hip hop? Are you sure?
This sounds like it's meant for dance/trance type schtuff if you asked me. However, lay some rhymes over the top and make it kick and I'll shut my mouth.

This doesn't sound hip hop to me at all, it sounds 80's R&B, even a little "British" 80's synth band. The beat is good but the drum sound is pretty weak. I like the synth sounds. Once this has some bass and drums that got some fatness, it will sound pretty cool.
