There are still drums and possibly more vocals yet to be recorded. But as for now, I would like your humble opinion. I am 15 and I need some guidance in mixing and mastering. I need some suggestions -Panning -Levels -EQ And so on Please Help! Thank You |

I gotta say, AWESOME JOB so far! This is great stuff! Not even taking into consideration your age, it stands on it's own.... I imagine you listen to a LOT of Radiohead - sounds a lot like some of the stuff on "Hail to the Thief". I've really got no criticisms so far, but drums will alway make huge difference to how a mix is percieved... I'm really looking forward to the finished mix song with all the parts - From what I've heard so far it will be excellent - well done!

Nice stereo separation so I don't have any comments there. I would bring the vocal more out front when it starts; I can't really hear it very well at the begining. The overall ambience of the song is great, I wouldn't change any of the EQ, etc. I don't think the ending adds anything to the song. It sounds fine to me just with what you got before the change. Also, the guitar at the end isn't very dramatic; it sounds like you're trying to squeeze out a couple of notes and have to cut the second one short to get somewhere else on the neck. That being said, the composition shows a sophistication and maturity beyond what I would expect from a 15 year old. You certainly outshine many of the recordings I've heard in this forum (but I won't mention names.) -Keep up the good work. -Don't get a big head over one composition. -Don't be afraid to ask questions. -Listen to as many people as you can and absorbe as much as possible. Trust me, it's easier at 15 than it will be 20-30 years from now. Please post more stuff. Thanks.

Great job. Very haunting and full of angst (I remember 15....) Lots of musical tit bits in there - loving the chimes / triangle? Agree with the levels on the vox - but for me the whole thing needs a little more bottom end to make it rumble and menace a bit more. Radiohead....yes. MUSE Definitely!!! Well done though chap - a fantastic effort that rubs others here into dust!!! Keep it up - and heed the oldmusicguy advice above. Tony.
