Wink Another Metallica Cover to Bash

Here is the solo section only cause this song is very difficult to mix and master properly, IMHO. Bob Rock is a genius

attached below is the Unforgiven (1991 Metallica - Black Album) Solo section

I'm not sure what is going on with the tempo but it sounds like it just had a shot of Ketamine. Did you slow it down on purpose? I like the guitar playing.

The main problem in my opinion is that this recording sounds too harsh. I had my speakers turned up and it immediately hurt my ears. The hi hats are also way too loud which contributes to the harshness.

The drums are 10,000 feet away.

Either that, or the guitars are too loud. Either way, it's the same. Try backing those off, and high passing the guitarss around 100hz.

This is the newest recording I re-did all of the tracks cause tHE original i posted just wasn't the quality i'm capable of, so here is something i'm a bit happier with.... please Bash away cause I think I can make something decent out of it.

thank you dossiman BTW, I did use the high pass at 100Hz on the guitars this time, seems to have reduced the harsh sound atleast on the low to subsonic end of the spectrum..
