Everything seems to sound pretty good for levels.
There's too much hiss on the guitar that leads in the intro for my tastes. I don't know if you can fix this with EQ or what, but maybe next time focus on getting the signal-to-noise ratio higher. So more signal less noise. IMO the distorted guitars need more body. There's too much separation and crunchy thinness once they come in. |

Money Shot, I really love this tune. Everything in the mix sounds fantastic bar the distorted guitar. I can see you're really going for extreme contrast in these sounds, but they still need to sound cohesive, and at the moment they don't. Great work though!

Hey thx guys. I'm glad you like the song overall. This distortion sound really did come out terrible. hahaha. Glad to get some opinions and advice on this tho. Most of the songs I have written have turned out with bad distortion guitars. So bad That I'll end up redoing some of them in the end.

I like the tune and the idea very much. I think the hissy guitar is a tiny bit distracting in the left ear the whole time. The distorted guitars... I'd rather listen to a lawnmower... XD You definitely did something with your micing that ain't right. Cut the treble A LOT. Mic a little more off axis toward the edge of the speaker. Despite this, the bass-end of the guitars seems just right. The clean guitar is very pleasant minus the noise.

The noise in the electric guitar bugs me. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I would have added either more noise to the left side (so that it sounds like an interesting effect)...maybe cars driving by, the sound of a blender turned way down, etc or a bright synth pad.
AHHHHHH!!! Our good old Metal Zone again. That thing is so fizzy that Nine Inch Nails wouldn't even use it. What happens if you turn the gain down on it and crank up the low end and low mids? I think you are just screwed with that thing. The Metal Zone clearly pulled down the quality of your recording here by a huge amount. You lose 5000 points for the Metal Zone guitar sound. Brandon

With nearly everyone else that guitar is just too much, I just felt it didn't have any dynamic detail to make it interesting as part of the overall package however liked all the other bits.
