Before I release the new AMALA single I wanted to check up on the mix and ask you're guys opinion on it. Also the song since all the Amala material is written by me. There are 4 vocalists on the track which made it a tad tough for me to blend them in but it adds different flavors to different parts which I think is kinda cool. I've been working hard on this one so please give me some feedback!

Oh boy...I would definitely post it right on the forum page or add a soundcloud link. Almost no one will want to download anything to their computer. Even me...and I can't get enough metal! Just find the "Manage Attachments" button and then upload a MP3. It will stick it right in the post.
Hopefully this works. I'm on an iPhone currently.
I think it only posted the link, not the actual file. It's only 25kb.
I think it sounds great. Nothing is really poking out as far as weird sounds on my headphones. The only changes I would suggest would be subjective at this point. This sounds like a modern metal production...good job.
Wow, thanks man. Good to hear. Anyone else?
I hate that I'm turning into the "more vocal, please" guy but "more vocals, please". The rest sounds great. Back off the limiting a hair. There's just a little bit of artifacts that don't match up to the production. Either get them to "rhyme" or make them go away.

Volume on the vocals or literal more layers? And I did the vocals out of the original project so i limited it in the new project for vocals.
More volume is what I'm thinking.

Sounds pretty crushing to me man. Did you have a super tight gate on the guitars at 2:11 or are you chopping the audio?
Manual editing.
Nice! Has potential! Great job!
cheers

sounds nice, well produced and can't find anything wrong. That part @2:11 that was manually edited sounds a little artificial compared to the rest of the song, but still, good headbanging on the making!
I'm listening to Amala - Currents (New single!)
I can tell your tracking is tip top!!! Great job on the guitars, vocals, and drums dude!!!
I don't get too wound up about the loudness war stuff. I mix my productions fairly loud and do a lot of squashing, but what I'm hearing is what I consider to be too much 2bus squashing. The snare is complaining a bit and I've got a feeling it was freakin' perfect before this 2bus stuff was added. I suspect you've separated your mixing and "pretend mastering" processes. When you crank your level up, things get nasty. I'd consider keeping them the same process. Pretend Mastering With A One Man Army
What 2bus limiter are you using? I've heard this type of sound on some of the "nicer" modes of brickwall limiters. I find the naming scheme on many brickwall limiters to be misleading as "Clip" is usually the most clean for modern levels. What RMS level did you mix to? If any of this stuff is foreign to you at all, keep an eye out for my new book / video on getting loud mixes.
BTW, what did you use for the guitars? They are GREAT!
