On Accident
Well, this is my first post here on these forums but as far as I can tell there is a lot to learn here and a lot of knowledgeable people! This is my second recording using Cubase, and I know I still have a lot to learn but I've been trying a lot of things that I know are probably rather unconventional. This song involves a lot of different sounds and a lot of different textures so it was hard not making a mess of it as far as mixing goes, but I think I've got it close to how I want it. I'll greatly appreciate any feedback at all, not only sound-wise, but compositionally as well if there are ideas about that. Thanks!

Re: On Accident
Cool song - guitar sounds great and I really like your voice. Modern sound to the whole thing, I suspect a lot of people would enjoy it.
I like the mix. I'm no expert at all, but a couple things I would maybe do a little different. I love the deep drum (nice in the background), I might put the high-hat type sound a little further back, too. The second guitar part is cool, but I'd bring it down a touch, maybe.
I love the part where you start panning (I actually think the sound of your clear voice there is quite nice) - but would possibly make it slightly less extreme (I'd pan them hard like you do, but maybe have a little soft echo on the other side, and vice versa). I really like it, though, just might soften it up a little.
Quite a nice song - great original and nicely written words.
