Default 4th time around?????? Anyone

Ok,
This is the 4th time Ive tried to redo this song....I used some compression and eq techniques on the guitars that seemed to get rid of some the stray sounds. And I used the T-rack mastering bundle. The Mix id loud, peaking at 0db, but never clipping.
I added piano in the begining instead of electric guitars.
Please check it out and give me your opinions.

Thanks
Josh

The piano is too loud, period. Especially during when the guitars are playing.

The drums sound fake. I know they are, but whatever you're doing to them whether it be eq or programming, they sound more fake.

The song overall sounds good and the mix is pretty clear. I would simply work on getting those drums better and setting levels better.

Thanks for the review..........I thought that the pianos were loud also.
As for the drums........Maybe I should just leave them alone- stock dfh..I usually add compression and verb and eq to at least the snare and i eq and compress the kick. I pan the rest as need and compress in stereo buss before mixdown.,
Fuck it.......Im gonna leave alone and see how the mix comes next time.

You don't have to leave it alone, you just have to toy with your settings and find out what SOUNDS good? It's all about sound (numbers sometimes correspond to the sound, but no ones going to argue if your method SOUNDS better than someone elses, who cares how you got there, unless someone were murdering little children XD).

Hi
I would say you need to work on the piano, especially at the intro. Im guessing its vsti, it certainly sounds fake - it is much too even and lacks expression. The piano is probably the most wide ranging and one the most expressionate instruments around, any real pianist given that intro to play would put a great deal of expression, and that doesnt show. Ive never used a piano vst, but try experiementing with the attack, release and velocity controls.
