The song is great! Hands down a great Pop song! Bring up the vocals...it is a POP song. The mix is very busy in the high end and not so in the lows. Taking a guess, I would tone down 8KHz on up and punch up 500Hz on down to add body to the mix. Performances are tight and enjoyable. Maybe try filling in the mid song break with some surprise effect or additional guitas to make that section stand apart from the rest. Like the tune very much...reminds me of Target commercials...eclectic! Chico

Chico, I'll try to add more low to the mix. I've been testing in different sound systems and the low frequencies are the harder to mix. I'm glad you liked it! Necromancer, the vocals are doubled and hard panned left and right. Last time I checked the cubase meters, they were pretty even, but who knows...I've been tweaking this thing so much I could've done something wrong with it. The clicks and pops were generated while recording (I probably hit something while playing). It sounds stupid, but I decided to keep them to have a "garage band" feel to the recording. I was even going to add some hum and background noise to it too. Anyways, I'll try to make the less noticeable. Thanks for listening! |

hmm since you said that the vox were panned hard r/l maybe that was a mouse click we heard at the end of the song

You've got a cool, dirty 70s vibe right off the bat. I don't dig the tiny vocal sound. I thought it was just an intro thing. The vocals are down and it sounds like there isn't anything below 1k or so. Get the vocals just slightly bigger (but with this same idea you had) and make them a quite a bit louder in the mix and you'll have a great sounding recording and a great song. I'm really impressed by the song! Brandon |

Thanks everyone for the comments, I really appreciate them. I made a second mix based on the feedback I got. I tried to remove the clicks from the end of the song, puched some more bass in it and made the vocal a little thicker. What do you guys think now? Thanks! |

That's a very subjective question. Only the artist can decide if he needs to be as loud as Nickelback or not. Brandon |

Hey Edu - That's a hit! Don't give it away. As I hear it, the voice is still hard over on my left, although on this newer version I can hear that there are two vocal tracks, the one on my right is still barely there. Sounds like about 30% R. Maybe you could duplicate the strong Left track- same settings- same everything, but put it hard Right. After that duplicate it again, but center it. Raise the volume of the center vocal & add a touch of chorus. Kjaerhus makes a great set of free plugins, chorus being one of them. If you want pops & crackles there are VST's which do that job, but go easy, 'cause it's easy to be cheezy. Try 'Audio Impurities Vintage Ed'. Whether this helps you or not, I wish you well. It's a nice little song Thanks
