i was reading up about this and this looks like a good recorder to use for someone who is starting out. I'm just wondering if anyone has this? i was wanting to know about the drum sequencer on it. Can you create your own drum tracks or do you just have the choice of only using the existing drum tracks that are already built in on this recorder? here is the info and site for it:

This can be heavily debated. I heard the drum machine and I thought it sounded like a drum machine. While maybe in a different price class the modern drum sample possibilities make the old synth style drum machine sounds obsolete when real drums are desired. EZ Drummer, Drummer Superior 2.0, Addictive Drums, BFD2, etc have all raised the bar at prices that aren't bad.

If you need real drums and a flexible sequencer, this isn't the route I'd recommend, but that is up to you and how important the drums are. A simple audio interface with Cubase LE bundled and any of the drums sample packages mentioned above is an extremely powerful combination. As long as your computer can handle it, you'll be in at a very reasonable price.
