Default Cubase 5 and Rireone - jog wheel, etc not working

Hi

I have recently moved from Cubase Studio 4.5 to a new install of Cubase 5. I have been using the TASCAM FIREONE without problems until now and have updated to the 1.10 driver (again all working well with older version of Cubase).

However, although Cubase 5 recognises the Fireone and lists the correct midi ports etc. The control applet works and I can adjust latency, etc. But I cannot use the jog wheel or any other control on Fireone to control the program. The midi input is recognised (I see the LED light, etc) but no control button works. The DLL is installed in the components folder under Cubase 5 - so I wonder if Cubase 5 needs a further step to be taken to activate the Fireone controls - a step that was not requires with Cubase Studio?

No doubt some obvious mistake on my part. I would welcome any suggestions about how to rectify this problem.

Thanks

Simon

You my want to check the Cubase 5 manual for "control surfaces".

Thanks Brandon. I eventually sorted this out - information was in an addendum to Tascam documentation. Solution was to list the device separately. Regards
