So Like I Moved to south Carolina in 011 with my girlfriend's uncles house. he died of cancer. and while organizing belongings. we came across some money in the basement.
Music has always be my passion. and we had this idea. why not build a mini studio martin to get your songs recorded.
why not. yay. so for a year I've become a bat in a closest. at first everything was so overwhelming the first recordings i knew what had to be done. when it came to the vocals, it was hard. I felt like I had big shoes to fill there.
I kept redesigning them. so finally I showed crystal she told me I was trying to sound like the artists I so passionately listen to.
So I stopped doing vocals. took a downloadable mp3 vocal lesson that was about 2 hours. and was very embarrassing, Because it made me feel like I was a kid. one day my friend walks in the studio to find me laying on the ground doing a breathing exercise, while chanting ( perfect poster passes poor performance ) He thought I was a nut.

So after hardships and craziness I managed to pull off the vocals ok. with some off parts.

after my first 5 songs were finished. I listened to them. they all sounded Soo different. like the EQ had bin from different producers.
I wanted to get back to work and ree doo them make them sound like a single EP/ but my hardive crashed.
I was very depressed for a couple month's. and didn't want to show anyone my songs.
when I did id make sure not to show them more then one each time.
but it was actually all a amazing reflection on how I was learning to be a producer. its like documented in song So that's inspiring. Don't worry martin you will pull that perfect production off one day. here have a listen to my first song.

Hmm.. I usually turn into a 7 year old kid when I sing. Its hard to stay serious when you sing....My first instinct is to keep yelling "titties!!!" or "I am the great Cornholio"

    Confidence is good.
But just keep telling yourself. " I am the best singer on the planet!" and try not to let people bring you down (they can be very very mean).

After "see that flash of lightning" you have a problem on the word "day" But dont let that get to you. Thats how you felt the note.

Not bad stuff. You didnt abuse the compressors. But... it seems a little cluttered.

It seems... that instead of finding that sweet juice from each instrument and straining it out. You just threw the instruments as full bodied peaches.
    For example.
On "in through".... because there isnt a hi-hat present. The pick strumming could be used to imitate the hi-hat instead of fighting with the snare for space.
or the first "away" you got a click or stutter. (on 4th of december)... and the first measure of the chorus has a ...slight sag to it at the end.

More-over analyzing the lyrics. And the style of singing.
This stuff is not very happy.
Good job at expressing your feelings.
