  1. I'm Delaying The Super Studio

    by , 02-29-2012 at 11:14 AM
I've decided that I'm gonna wait on the Super Studio.

I started with nothing and still have most of it left. My current “house” would not meet HUDs standards (American free housing for the poor). However, my gear racks would almost satisfy Mutt Lange. Well, maybe not. You get the point. I get the feeling from a housing standpoint, that my situation isn't much different than some of the rougher portions of Poland...or Detroit. I've invested my cash in my craft and not luxuries ...

I was having problems getting my reamped tracks to sound as good as the real thing. I was beginning to wonder if reamping was fundamentally flawed until Rockerdude made this awesome post.

We had a diffusor discussion that really took off.

    by , 07-05-2011 at 11:44 AM
After fHumble fHingaz posted his blind test and watching this AWESOME video by Ethan Winer I'm all excited about kicking off the Audio Skeptics Society.

Yes, the acronym is ASS. That's no accident.

You can find out more about the Audio Skeptics Society. You must post 3 blind tests to be in the club. You'll get a merit badge and I'm thinking about printing up some t-shirts for it. Here's a prototype:

I recently go (and don't buy... not yet actually) and listen to 3 pairs of nice speakers.
You can have a read of this journey and make you're own opinion on it.
By the way, because it's a french blog, I use Google translate to bring you a try and the main idea.

  5. Thinking about joining the Dark Side

    by , 04-29-2011 at 11:03 PM
I haven't used a Mac since 1999 till the other day my friend I'm working with on some visual arts brings hers. Of course, it's second hand, and full of problems, not helping my pre-conception of Mac's. Aren't they supposed to "just work" ? I have yet to use one that runs rapidly AND reliably. In my experience, the pc "Blue Screen of Death" got nothing on the "Mac Freeze"

I was also amazed that my previous working knowledge of the Mac OS was of ABSOLUTELY ...

Its just when I hook my tascam up to my i-pod or my soundboard monitor and record the beat the music plays and I can here it well while its recording. But when I playback its so low to where you could barely here it. Plz!! need help!!! P.s. my fades and volume are completely up and its still low as can be.
