Im not positive here but...dry is a term usually used for the reflections or lack of reverb, echo, delay on a track...effects that give you depth or wet the track. EQing has little to do with that...Layering ur tracks can sound like a reverb or delay...but this method is used to bring out a bolder and thicker vocal...having little to do with being dry. If u want a "flat" sounding vocal which sounds like crap...haha just zero your pre and channel eq's. Let me know if this was helpful...or if I need to have a different outlook on this!! Thx
