Default Re: what are you running on your DAW? for software?

I would enjoy pro because of its capability to run more tracks, but I'm not running over 12 yet anyway so its not a big deal.
Must be nice. I've had several projects where I've been in the 50s lately.

Snoopy, you are right. "Prosumer" is a more appropriate term. I've shifted my brain to think in terms of mega pro stuff. After buying my Soundelux mic, I don't think I'm going back to anything cheap anymore. I get people who say "ooohhhhh... The Mackie HR824s!!!!". Then I say in a monotone voice "they are okay" (I sound like Ben Stein). I really want some ADAMs $5,000 monitors that a lot of the big boys are loving.

I'm convinced that no one piece of software sounds any better in terms of sound quality so the issue is 100% workflow and features. I guess Vegas would sound like shit to a guy needing a sequencer since it has no sequencer. It doesn't matter about floating bit depth niner this or digital something or other that if you can't automate the Aux send.
