Well, as I understand it, this program is supposed to allow you to filter the frequency you want - say kick drum for example - such that a midi note is triggered at each hit of that piece. Basically it would be a reference point so that I could create a track of sampled kick hits, placing one at every midi note.

I think you're supposed to add a midi track, with this filter program as its input.

You're supposed to be able to select a drum map for the midi output - that way the notes would be played automatically.

Is this making sense?

I just can't get it to actually work. And I feel like it's a basic misunderstanding of how midi works on my part.
