Hi New to the site. I'm using an Akai 12 track digital studio and no matter what I record, voice through mic, live band through mic, instruments direct to the board, etc...whenever I transfer to my HP Pavillion computer, regardless of program I use, there is a hiss. I HATE hiss...have tried various settings on both ends of the set up, Nero, Rosoft gold, NCH and several other programs. I can't stand what 'noise reduction' does to the rest of the sound. Please, if there is a magic hiss bullet, shoot it at my machine before I am forced to get out some real lead...or the sledgehammer. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. BTW, there is no hiss on playback from the Akai, whether through headphones, speakers or the computer...only when I try to transfer the tracks to the computer does it all go hiss crazy...
