In order to solve problems like this, it is usually best to start with the source, then work through the signal chain towards the final destination which is the speakers.

When you play this song in Cubase, take a look at the output meters to make sure that they are not showing activity primarily in the left channel. Do this by observing the vertical meters at the right of your transport bar (or press F3 to view the mixer). If the problem is within Cubase, the output levels will show the right channel visibly lower than the left.

If the right and left are reasonably similar in level, you know that the problem is not with Cubase, or the source file. You would then need to examine your cabling, cable connections, or other hardware problems.

If you can't solve the issue, reply to this forum thread and include more detail about your soundcard, and your studio's hardware and cabling connections. Hopefully one of us can help you further.
