Once you add the VST instrument track, go to the top and select the pencil icon. Draw in what measures you want to start with (you can change the size and copy and paste later as needed). Thank you that helped a great deal. Are there any pre-formatted/created drum or bass tracks. So for drums simple 4/4 time 80 beat per minute type stuff. Just things to get you started vs. creating from scratch. Using the keyboard to create drum beats is a bit awkward.
