Re: Help linking Emu 1616m to cubase?
[QUOTE=jimbabwe79;83885]Did you ever figure this out? I'm using Cubase LE with EMU 1616m and know very little about sends. Your problem sounds almost identical to mine. The only way I can use the 'mic/line B' on the EMU is to drag the one functional Send I have [to HOST ASIO IN 1/2] to the strip for 'mic/line B' from 'mic/line A'.
In CUBASE, the only options I see for routing on each audio track are the following:
Input: IN 1, IN 2
Output: BUS1, Left, Right
Shouldn't I have more options than this?
Also, in the strip for 'mic/line B' in Patchmix, I routed it to [HOST ASIO IN 3/4], the only other option that seemed to make sense, but this was to no avail.[/QUOTE
HEY !!!!!! CUBASE LE ONLY GIVES YOU 2 INPUT OPTIONS...I HAD TO BUY CUBASE ESSENTIAL $99.00....NOW I HAVE 16 TRACKS TO WORK WITH....I HAD A FRIEND LINK MY EMU 1616M TO CUBASE ESSENTIAL BY CREATING A TEMPLATE IN EMU AND SAVING IT SO I DON'T HAVE TO MESS WITH THAT AGAIN..( I just have to open Emu and open that template before going to Cubase.).AND THEN HE HELPED ME "ASSIGHN" INPUTS TO CHANNELS IN CUBASE....PRESS F-4 KEY TO SEE WHERE THIS IS DONE AND DO SOME MORE RESEARCH ABOUT THIS..I NOW HAVE; EMU INPUT A TO TRACK ONE,EMU INPUT B TO TRACK TWO, INPUT 1/L TO TRACK THREE , INPUT 1/R TO TRACK FOUR AND SO ON... I WOULD SEND YOU A SCREEN SHOT OF THAT SCREEN BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO EMAIL A SCREENSHOT ? THEY DO IT ON THIS SITE ALL THE TIME. KEEP MESSIN WITH IT BUT YOU HAVE TO GET CUBASE ESSENTIAL....HEY GOOD LUCK AND KEEP HAMMERING AWAY AT THIS. PEACE, JOE
