Did you ever figure this out? I'm using Cubase LE with EMU 1616m and know very little about sends. Your problem sounds almost identical to mine. The only way I can use the 'mic/line B' on the EMU is to drag the one functional Send I have [to HOST ASIO IN 1/2] to the strip for 'mic/line B' from 'mic/line A'.

In CUBASE, the only options I see for routing on each audio track are the following:
Input: IN 1, IN 2
Output: BUS1, Left, Right

Shouldn't I have more options than this?

Also, in the strip for 'mic/line B' in Patchmix, I routed it to [HOST ASIO IN 3/4], the only other option that seemed to make sense, but this was to no avail.
