Post Mixer monitoring, probably easy to answer!

Hello, I recently bought a Peavy PV(R) 10 mixer.

This mixer uses a usb chord.

This is my first mixer, I've always recorded through the microphone input of my sound card up until now (horrible, I know). I'm having trouble though. For example:

Say I was recording a song, I've just recorded the guitar track and am ready to record the bass track. Problem is that when the mixer is turned on no sound will come out of the computer speakers, I have to use the mixer outputs. But how can I record the guitar in sync with the bass then, if I can't hear it? So my question really is, is there a way I can monitor the sound and hear my computer at the same time?

I assumed there is an easy answer to this question, but I have yet to find it. I've done some googling, and read my mixers manual. I am absolutely clueless. If anyone knows the answer I'd love to hear it, thanks!
