If you're too old to try, then you're too old. That is dictated by you and you alone.

"Dookie" by Green Day is considered punk (not by most punk aficionados, true, but nevertheless...) and went Diamond. "Kerplunk" which was indie-produced has sold over 4 million worldwide. Insomniac and Nimrod both went double-platinum.
