Record the sound of all your drums. Set the track that you recorded to GM drum map.
Double click what you recorded then you can see the notes. Drag the notes around till they sound right and see what the note that you recorded is, and what note you like.
So you make a drum map (see help about how to make a map, can't remember if you click custom map or something like that) then when you get to where you make a map it will have a big list of all the drums and the notes associated with them and the notes you want triggered. So find the note your kick is, and change what it triggers to the sound you like then when your done save the map then select the map for your track.
It's easy after you do it a few times.
