Absolutely, I'm very much the same way. If I create a mix and I hear some flaws in it (even if no one else will notice) I *have* to go fix those flaws before I try to improve the mix because I'll get stuck on them and can't get past them, which kinda was my original complaint at the beginning of this thread...
If some posts an unfinished mix, I can't be objective about the mix because I get stuck on the fact that it's unfinished and really might needs a "songwriting/creative" mindset rather than a "mix/polish" mindset.
Hence, I don't want to be in the "mix/polish" mindset and have to wade through tons of unfinished stuff, it's counter/productive for me and I can't be objective and helpful.
