RAM was NEVER an issue until I jumped on this sample band wagon. I'm using DFH Superior for my drums. When I load up a kit in "weuss mode" I'm still using 400 MB or RAM instantly (on top of what Cubase SX3 is already using). I fired the drums up in "badass mode" and it used something like 3,600 MB instantly. Ouch!!

On top of that I'm toying with bass samples so there is another 200MB.

I ordered Kontakt 2 last night so when I start adding more instruments with the sampler, I'm going to be really screwed!

It's quite clear I'll have to commit to the programming of the drums and render them down to .wav files before I can get serious with my sampler. Luckily, Cubase SX3 has the "freeze" function which allows you to push a button and it will essentially render that track down (saving possibly GB's or RAM).
