Default Hello Recording Forum People

I've been a part time drummer for many years and am interested in setting up equipment here at home to record my drums sessions, audio and video. I think looking at the YouTube drummers covering popular songs got me thinking about how that kind of set up might help me continue to learn and develop. Its also very interesting to learn all about the recording technology and how far it has come since I was in the stuido many years ago.

I have really found this site extremely useful, especially the Sound Card Wizard. I have more than adequate computer hardware and skills (I'm an IT guy in real life) and am soaking up a lot of information on audio and acoustics. I think I have my sights set on an Alesis io|26 audio interface because of the Firewire and eight mic inputs and pre-amps. I haven't picked out the mics yet, but the interface seems to be the most important decision at the moment.

Your "Starting Your Own Home Recording Studio" section really hit the mark for where I'm at!

Great job ...keep up the good work!!

Thanks,
Rick
