More Details About Superior Drummer

Superior Drummer 2.0 is my first weapon of choice when it comes to killer sounding drum sounds. I've used Superior Drummer 2.0 on many, many sessions ranging from country to thrash metal and I think it sounds outstanding. I give it a 10 out of 10! It's a phenomenal, mature product that not only sounds amazing, but is extremely reliable, relatively easy on RAM, and an amazing tool for both the beginner and the advanced.

Building kits is easy in Superior Drummer 2.0 even if you prefer astronomical sized drum kits like this one!

The built in mixer within Superior Drummer 2.0 is what really takes the cake. While the samples already sound outstanding, the possibilities with the mixer really make this product stand out from the rest.

For beginners, it's entirely possible to let Superior Drummer do all the work for you in regard to mixing. Are you not sure what a compressor really is? Select from the wide variety of presets within Superior Drummer and you'll be on your way to achieving the sound in your head. Not only does this save tremendous amounts of time, but it also is a great way to learn. Want to know how they got THAT much crack in the snare? Take a peak at their settings and it will begin to make sense.

For advanced dudes, Superior Drummer is extremely well thought out and allows for just about everything you can think of. I really like their built in compressor on their room mics. When I need a huge, explosion style snare drum clamping down on the room mics with their auto-gain feature engaged is a tremendous way of doing that quickly!

In many cases I prefer to use my own plugins or need to route Superior Drummer 2.0 within Cubase so I can trigger a sidechain. It only takes half a second to route the audio through one of the built in busses within Superior Drummer and route that to an extra channel in Cubase.
