Default Re: Your Favorite Free Plugins?

I also really like JB Ferox, especially on my drum-bus.

I didn't read through the whole thread, but I did a quick search to see if some of the ones I wanted to mention were here, but it doesn't look like it, so here goes:

There are a number of really nice EQ's availible. I use each of these with my other EQ plugins pretty often. They all seem to have their own "thing" going on, which works for different things.

Leftover Lasagne Pushtec (a sort of Pultec-vibe - Pushtec/Pultec geddit!? - that does "something" I like very much): http://www.kvraudio.com/developer_ch...PushTec1.2.zip
Noname EQ (a nice clean EQ that works well and sounds good): http://www.savioursofsoul.de/Christian/VST/NonameEQ.zip
Paris EQ (also a nice EQ that does what it says on the box very well): http://www.hometracked.com/bin/ParisEQ11.zip

If you're looking for a good limiter, try the George Yohng W1 Limiter. It's a clone of the Waves L1 Limiter (done by tweaking his design rather than stealing source code, I believe) and is really very cool: yohng.com' :: W1 Limiter

The digitalfishphones have been mentioned, but I'd just like to second that they sound absolutely fabulous. Many folks say they're willing to pay good money for these plugins, in fact I've heard of guys with UAD cards that say these plugins give some of those a run for their money. I especially love Endorphin, Blockfish (so good on soooooo many things) and the Spitfish De-esser.

As far as instruments go I really like these:

MiniMogue (Minimoog sim): http://glenstegner.com/MinimogueVA.zip
This bundle (Hammond B3, Wurlitzer, Fender Rhodes, Leslie Speaker sim, etc.):GSi - Soundware for musicians
