Yeah, you can put any wav file into it and it automatically creates a reference plot for that track. not used AAMS it might be more comprehensive but Harbal is a great mastering tool for getting that smoother more professional finish and it doesn't force anything on you - if you want it to sound harsh or boosted anywhere it's entirely up to the user.
You don't have to use a reference though. It just gives a very easily understood graphic plot of what all the frequencies are doing in the track and allows you to drag that plot wherever you want it.
I wish they' make a plug in version, it would be very useful on a track by track basis in a sequencer too.
Did you delete the AAMS forum because you are not impressed? I keep meaning to get around to looking at it.
