Default Realistic Drum Samples

Check out the following when looking for realistic drums for your midi sequencing needs.? I have no idea what format these are so you'll have to figure that one out for yourself. I'm just trying to keep track of when I hear drum samples that I wouldn't mind owning.

Toontrack
Superior Drummer 2.0, DFH Superior, and EZ Drummer. All of these are excellent. DFH Superior is older, uses more RAM, does not include the powerful mixer thinging that Superior Drummer 2.0 does and has more of a midrangy sound to it like you'd hear on Counting Crows "Mr. Jones".

Fxpansion.com
BFD2 has some of the smoothest sounding cymbals in the universe with great, thick drum sounds. Tonally, these rest somewhere in between Superior Drummer 2.0 and DFH Superior in tone.

Fxpansion has a number of expansion packs that dramatically improve the flexibility of the series.

Steven Slate Drum Samples
You'll need Kontakt to play these, but for huge, powerful rock drums I don't think it gets any better. These samples are more straight forward. You don't get control over bleed, ambiance, and things like that but I can't say I care. When mega brute, knock a hole in your skull drums are required, this is the way to go!

I own the Steven Slate Drum Samples and love them. Having these and Superior Drummer 2.0 handles all my rock needs.
