i'm glad that helped.the session works because it routes the "wave" input to a send to your recorder.(you can look at how it routes the signal when you bring up the session) the defaults that come up for session choices will address most uses. i really like these e-mu sound cards,beautiful sound.i record at 96hz/24-bits (or better) i have the 0404 currently and a pc much like yours.(i use Skype,too),so i'm curious to hear your work
